Visiting newly appointed Ambassador of DR Congo HE ATOKI

On Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at the Embassy of the D.R. Congo in Seoul, on behalf of the Dynamics of the Congolese Elite in South Korea, the executive office, represented by its president and secretary, as well as that of the general assembly , represented by its President and Vice-President, paid a warm visit to His Excellency Mr. ATOKI ILEKA, recently appointed Ambassador of the D.R. Congo to South Korea.

In addition to having informed His Excellency of the history and challenges of our community, the DECOC, represented by its two offices, proceeded to read the memorandum whose demands are articulated on the following points: the question study allowances; difficulties in obtaining a passport; the quality and costs of consular documents and services; the visibility of our embassy in South Korea and around the world; the issue of support and reintegration of students into professional environments, and others.

This one-on-one meeting of nearly an hour allowed the two camps to discuss issues of common interest between DECOC, South Korea, and the D.R. Congo, and his Excellency Mr. ATOKI ILEKA told us preparing for the arrival of four Congolese diplomats to collaborate on a long-term basis and work in closer synergy to achieve the respective strategic objectives.
At the end of our interlocutions, we invited his Excellency to take part in the next activity that the DECOC intends to organize at the end of November 2022 so that he can meet and discuss with all the members present in South Korea. Details on the organization of this ceremony will be sent to you shortly.
