DECOC and the Congolese community recently had the opportunity to show enthusiastic support for  our beloved professional soccer player Mpolo José Mpoku and his team, Incheon FC, during their match against the Chinese club Shandong Taishan.

The match took place on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at 7:00 PM at the Incheon Football Stadium, as part of the group stage of the AFC Champions League (Asian Football Confederation), the equivalent of the European Champions League.

Our presence as a community was remarkable. We created an outstanding atmosphere in the stadium with Congolese songs, adding a unique touch to the match ambiance. Our unwavering support was a source of inspiration for Mpolo José Mpoku and his team, warmly acknowledged by all present spectators.

At the end of the match, Mpolo José Mpoku kindly met with us and expressed his deep gratitude for our presence. He also expressed his desire to meet the Congolese community during his upcoming activities.

This event demonstrates the power of our solidarity as a community and strengthens our connection with one of our compatriots shining on the international stage.
